Bio from The Official Mutant X Site: Adam Haight oversees the development, production and distribution operations for Toronto-based Fireworks Entertainment , which is owned and operated by Canada’s CanWest Entertainment. As President and COO of this major entertainment company, he is in charge of all key genres, including miniseries, television movies, hour dramas, and children’s half-hour live-action series. Haight’s agenda since beginning Fireworks was to move the company into the live-action children’s half-hour category, which was successfully accomplished with Strange Days at Blake Holsey High for Discovery Kids on NBC, Real Kids Real Adventures, Caitlin’s Way, 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd, Even Stevens and Being Eve. While at Fireworks, he has been involved in the continuing development of syndicated ratings hit dramas Mutant X and Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda, both co-produced with Tribune Entertainment, the new Lifetime series, Wild Card, and has overseen all of Fireworks’ previously developed programming, including hour-long drama hit series La Femme Nikita , the syndicated series Relic Hunter, Adventure Inc., Queen of Swords, 18 Wheels of Justice, and Highlander: The Raven. He also developed and produced Fireworks’ television movies such as RoboCop: Prime Directives, Blacktop, Poison and The Girl Next Door, and was a key player in bringing the miniseries A Wrinkle in Time to Fireworks, along with the feature films Who is Cletis Tout?, Interstate 60, and the award- winning films An American Rhapsody and The Believer. Before joining Fireworks, Haight was one of Canada’s most experienced producers. His drama series credits include Night Heat, Diamonds, TNT, Counterstrike, Hidden Room and Due South. In addition Haight has produced numerous long form projects including Almost Golden: The Jessica Savitch Story, for which he received an Emmy nomination.
