SECOND MUTANT X DVD

ADV Films has announced a July 22 release for Mutant X: Season One, Disc 2, the second DVD volume of the syndicated television series Mutant X. Mutant X: Season One, Disc 2 includes two complete episodes: "Russian Roulette" and "Fool for Love."

In "Russian Roulette," Adam and his Mutant X team match wits against a Russian duo hired by the Genetic Security Agency to round up mutants. The sexy agent, Sonya, and her tough guy partner have a powerful and highly experimental energy weapon.

In "Fool for Love," it's love at first fight. Shalimar falls hard for a handsome research scientist who has developed an experimental serum to reverse genetic mutations.

Extras on the DVD include: full-length audio commentary for "Fool for Love" featuring Victoria Pratt (Shalimar) and Director T.J. Scott; outtakes; episodic photo gallery; character profile - Shalimar Fox; cast biography - Victoria Pratt; original TV promos; and ADV Previews.

In other Mutant X news, Tribune has released a schedule of upcoming repeats. Episodes will include "At Destiny's End" the week of May 19; "Within These Walls" the week of May 26; "Hard Time" the week of June 2; "Under the Cloak of War" the week of June 9; and "Once Around" the week of June 16.

THIRD MUTANT X DVD

ADV Films has announced an Aug. 19 release for Mutant X: Season One, Disc 3, the third DVD volume of the first season of the syndicated television series Mutant X.

Mutant X: Season One, Disc 3 includes two complete episodes: "Kilohertz" and "Meaning of Death."

In "Kilohertz," Kilohertz is wreaking havoc through sudden attacks on TV signals and computer systems. Adam leads the Mutant X team on a crusade to stop this edgy mutant who abuses his extraordinary power.

In "Meaning of Death," Adam and his team face their biggest challenge yet when a deadly virus spreads through the city, causing infected mutants to lose control over their powers.

MUTANT X UPDATE

ADV Films has announced an Oct. 14 release for Mutant X: Season One, Disc 5, the fifth DVD volume of the first season of the syndicated television series Mutant X.

Mutant X: Season One, Disc 5 includes two complete episodes: "Crime of the New Century" and "Dark Star Rising."

In "Crime of the New Century," the Mutant X team sets out to rescue a former astronaut's young son who has been mysteriously kidnapped.

In "Dark Star Rising," the team struggles to save the last two survivors of an international anti-terrorist unit.

Mutant X: Season One, Disc 5 will have a suggested price of $24.98. It is a DVD-only release, in English. Extras include: widescreen video and Dolby Digital sound; outtakes; episodic photo gallery; character profile: Jesse; cast biography: Forbes March; original TV promos; and ADV previews.

MUTANT X UPDATE

ADV Films on Friday announced a Jan. 6 street date for Mutant X: Season 1 Discs 8-9, a two-disc, DVD release from the first season of the syndicated television series Mutant X.

The release initiates new packaging for the series. Now, Mutant X will be released in two-disc, four-episode volumes at a suggested retail price of $19.98.

Episodes in the newest release include:

"Lazarus Syndrome" (Episode 115)

Emma falls prey to a deadly handsome modern-day vampire who must feed on the life force of mutants to survive.

"Interface" (Episode 116)

Emma finds herself in grave danger when she is reunited with an old high school friend... who now uses her mutant ability to interact with computers using only her mind to help the GSA.

"Presumed Guilty" (Episode 117)

Adam finds himself framed for murder after encountering a mutant who can steal people's memories.

"Ex Marks the Spot" (Episode 118)

It's bad news when Shalimar's former boyfriend joins the Mutant X team in order to steal a secret genetic formula.

ADV Films has announced a March 3 release for Mutant X: Season 1, Discs 10-11, a two-disc set collecting episodes from the first season of the syndicated television series.

Episodes, all presented in widescreen format, include:

"Nothing to Fear" (Episode 119): A powerful psionic mutant uses his mind-control powers to punish the Mutant X team because he believes they are responsible for his wife's death.

"Deadly Desire" (Episode 120): A dangerously seductive mutant casts a powerful love spell on Brennan, putting him under her control.

"Dancing on the Razor" (Episode 121): A journalist working undercover threatens to expose the reality of Mutant X to the unknowing world.

"A Breed Apart" (Episode 122): The Mutant X team faces its biggest challenge yet: the super-mutant Gabriel, a sociopath who seeks to destroy both Mutant X and Genomex.

Extras include: an extensive tour of the new Sanctuary set with John Shea; an image gallery; Adam's Notes‹The Double Helix; Original TV promos; and ADV previews.

In other Mutant X news,Tribune Entertainment has released information about "Divided Loyalties," the episode scheduled to air in syndication the week of Feb. 23.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Brennan (Victor Webster) is forced to return to his criminal past when Mutant X discovers that his old partner is involved in stealing secrets from the Dominion."

The episode is written by Elizabeth Keyishian and David S. Wilks and is directed by Richard Flower.

MUTANT X DVD UPDATE

ADV Films has announced a Nov 2 release date for the complete first season of Mutant X on DVD.

Mutant X Season One Box Set, retailing for $49.98, is a six-disc DVD release presented in anamorphic widescreen format, containing 22 complete episodes featuring English 2.0-language audio with closed captioning.

Extras include: commentary for several episodes, outtakes, episodic gallery, character profiles, cast biographies, original television promos and ADV previews.

Here's how ADV describes the first season:

"Hidden from the eyes of the world, the Genomex Corporation conducted radical genetic experiments. But something went terribly wrong. Now, the human results of the experiments are all grown up -- young mutants ... with powerful abilities. There's Shalimar, a sensual and agile feral with human and animal DNA, Brennan, who can fire bolts of electricity from his hands, Jesse, who can instantly change his body from solid as a stone to intangible as air, Emma, a pretty 'telepath' who can feel what you feel and turn your emotions against you, and Adam, their leader and, ironically, the scientist who created them."
